From the late 1800’s in England and even now in the US and abroad, lemon curd is traditionally served with scones at Afternoon Tea time.
Lemon curd is a thick, creamy dessert spread that is made by cooking together lemon juice, egg yolks and sugar. We use fresh lemon zest in our tart and tangy recipe.
Lemon curd can be used in many ways: filling for a cake or tart, used in ice cream recipes, as a sauce on the side and even folded into buttercream frosting for a delicious lemon cake frosting.
Curds can be made with other fruits and recipes abound on the internet. If you would like a no cost copy of the tart and tangy Lemon Curd recipe we use , a picture of which is shown in the serving dish above, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
