Tea Lover Gift Baskets gifts are shipped from San Jose, CA via United States Postal Service.  We have found their shipping rates to be significantly less to most locations. We also offer FedEx delivery, Local Pickup and Delivery options. We currently ship to all United States and military destinations.

Gifts ordered by 3:00 PM Pacific Standard Time, will be shipped the next business day.  Gifts with military destinations ship by Priority Mail only. Please call if you have special time constraints, we specialize in customer service! Call 408 888 2781 or toll free 1-877-449-9832. Thank you. 

Priority Mail delivers to mailboxes, mail slots, and post office boxes as well as residential delivery. You can expect your gift to be in the hands of your tea drinker in two to three days, including Saturday. Priority mail is not delivered on Sunday and Holidays.

Express Mail service delivers your gift overnight or one day delivery, including Saturdays, to residential delivery,  mailboxes, mail slots, and post office boxes. The shipping cost added to your Express Mailed gift includes a handling fee of $12.50.

Sunday and Holiday Express Mail Delivery is available. USPS delivers your gift on a Sunday or a holiday to residential delivery,  mailboxes, mail slots, and post office boxes. We strongly recommend you call us to verify whether this service can be guaranteed for you, it is an expensive option!  Or check USPS Express Mail Service Commitment. Originating zip code is 95139. We are open to recieve orders everyday, 24 hours per day. Customer service is available daily from 10 AM to 10 PM (PST). Rare exceptions will be noted on our home page.


     1. During the annual World Tea Expositions (June) and Trade Shows no one wants to stay behind in the office! We CAN ship during these times with advance notice.  

     2. Christmas. Order with us by Tuesday, December 19th, 2017 for Priority Mail delivery for Christmas. For USPS Express Mail delivery for Christmas, order with us by Thursday, December 21st, 2017. Orders received Sunday, Christmas Eve Day, December 24th, 2017 through Tuesday, December 26th, 2017 will ship on Wednesday, December 27th, 2017 unless we have made arrangements with you otherwise.

     3. When USPS does not ship, see below.

    We all love chocolate! We love giving and receiving chocolate gifts. Unfortunately, shipping gifts with chocolate between April and October is risky. We cannot ensure the safe arrival of chocolate during this time regardless of how it is shipped. It is done at your own risk. 

    Should you still desire to ship a gift with chocolate between April and October, we recommend selecting Express Mail. We will (but do not recommend) shipping via Priority Mail.


    Our delivery person extraordinaire completes local delivery efficiently with flourish and flair. 

    Local delivery begins from zip code 95112 in San Jose, CA which is a central location between Japantown and the Airport.

    Deliveries up to 7 miles cost $20.
    Deliveries from 8 to 10 miles cost $25.
    Deliveries from 11 to 15 miles cost $30.
    Deliveries from 16 to 19 miles are an additional $1.00 per mile.

    We thank you for trusting us to make your gift giving experience a satisfactory one. Please double check the name and address information you give us at the time you place your order. We have found the number one error is a mismatch between the address and zip code. 

    On rare occasions, errors happen. A gift arrives damaged or another unfortunate situation develops. Please know we are deeply sorry should this occur. We  do our best to prevent all manner of mishaps from happening in the first place.

    Should you not be 100% satisfied with your gift giving experience please let us know within 2 business days of the gift being received. This can be done by phone to 408 888 2781 or toll free 1-877-449-9832 by e-mail to  Tea Lover Gift Baskets will make every effort to resolve any issue in a timely manner and to your satisfaction. Damaged gifts or late deliveries will need to be verified by the carrier. If  the gift is disposed of before we can verify the damages/discrepancy we can not issue a refund.

    Should the carrier return the gift to us because it was refused, or because we were given the wrong address, or the recipient was not available to receive the gift; any refund made will be minus the return shipping charge.


    We strive to ship out your tea gift basket precisely how it is advertised and photographed, with the same products, teas and embellishments. We succeed in this most of the time.


    Over time we have found even the most diligent manufacturers stop making products or change their product in some way: size, color, quality, taste. Then, of course, there are natural disasters, political and ecological issues that influence product availability. Consequently, we find we can no longer offer the same tea gift basket designs or some of the products we use in a current tea gift basket design.


    If a design change is significant, we create a completely new tea gift basket design, take new photos and write a new description. If the change to a design is small, like the brand of tea cookie, we will list the change in the item description and not necessarily change the art work. Please note: we do this rarely. Most of the time the tea gift basket you see in the photo, the gift description and what your tea drinker receives are identical.


    Rest assured, that should a certain product become unavailable, we will always substitute it with something similar with the same or greater value.
